IP Democracy: Google's Planning Something Big in Phoenix
Courtesy of Search Engine Watch, this piece in the Phoenix Business Journal claims that Google will announce today a plan for setting up “major new operations” in the Phoenix market. It’s not clear what kind of operations, exactly, but the Journal piece says they relate to “online auctions and expanded Internet and technology services.”
The only new bit here is the online auctions part. Is Google planning to mount serious competition to eBay? Or is Phoenix simply the next market for Google’s expansion into the Wi-Fi arena?
